Take off your shoes and leave them far behind. Run across the beach and let worries slip from your pockets. Watch the wild waves crash into each other. Wish to be one of them. Turn your face to the blazing sun. Look for shade a few minutes later. Feel the salt on your skin, in your hair, on your lips. And your hairstyle wilder than life after twenty. Search for seashells and decide which one to take home—only to leave them all on the shore. Shake off the sand from places you didn’t even know existed. Breathe in all the new and familiar scents. Bathe in the foam. Eat well, drink well, sleep well. Take an afternoon siesta. And a morning one. And an evening one too. Slow life down from a hundred to zero.
